What’s your guilty pleasure?

Binge watching TV for hours on end. I can demolish a series on Netflix 2 days, for sure! But I can watch Suits or Stranger Things over and over and over again. They’re my 2 absolute favs!

What’s your favourite quote?

I have 2…

“Work to live, not live to work”

“Those Who Mind Don’t Matter, and Those Who Matter Don’t Mind”

What’s the most courageous thing you have ever done and why?

I’ve done a few things wayyyyy out of my comfort zone, which considering I’m scared of pretty much everything is always an achievement. But I think the most memorable would be an excursion I did in Las Vegas where I faced not 1, not 2 but 3 terrifying things all in one day…

  1. Flew over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter (I hate flying)
  2. Rode a questionable pontoon boat down the choppy Colorado River (I’m petrified of water and can’t really swim)
  3. Walked the Skywalk, a glass bridge that extends 70ft over the rim of the Grand Canyon, giving you a clear view 4000ft to the Canyon floor below! (Not a massive fan of heights or the possibility of falling to my unquestionable death)

Needless to say, I thought I was definitely going to die that day, but I lived to tell the tale and have pictures and video to prove I did all 3!

What do you like doing in your spare time?

I love finding interesting places to go or cool things to do, like food festivals or fun activities. I love cinema, comedy, shows, music, eating out and anything to do with animals. At the moment, I’m obsessed with Pygmy goats so I’m looking for an animal experience where I can get up close and personal so I can possibly fit one in my bag and take it home. That and a racoon experience!

If you could just jump on plane and go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I mean there lots or places as I love travelling but Cairo 100%. Ever since I studied Egyptians in year 3 at primary school and made a sarcophagus of Tutankhamun, I’ve been obsessed. I’d love to go and see the pyramids, walk the Valley of the Kings, see the great Sphinx and all the treasure found in the tombs in local museums, but obviously that part of the world can be a bit dangerous these days.

The closest I ever got was Hurghada. My partner got a gig out there and I was adamant that he buy me a ticket to go with him even though it wasn’t anywhere near Cairo. But it was still EYGYPT right? …Well, it was a real let down, 10-year-olds driving cars, honking horns all day, derelict buildings, no rules, guards with massive guns everywhere and sooooo many stray cats, it felt like we were in war zone and ruined my childhood visoon! But I will rectify that one day when its safe to do so.

What’s the best joke you’ve ever been told?

I’m not great at remembering jokes tbh. The only joke I can ever remember is, What do you call a blind dinosaur? A Doyouthinkhesaurus! What do you call a blind dinosaurs dog? A Doyouthinkhesaurus rex! …all thanks to the film Jurassic Park! By the way, love that film!

If you could change one thing at work, what would you change and why?

That you could bring your pet in cause my cats always cheer me up. I am the ultimate crazy cat lady! PS they even have their own Instagram 😉

If we were to come in one day and said we were giving one member of staff the day off, fully paid, but you must give a reason to pick you. What would you say?

…well, you can explain why not me to Joe!

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail
