Keeping Warm on Your Wedding Day

Is your wedding day coming up? The backdrops of autumn and winter can make for beautiful photos and, despite common misconceptions, are ever popular seasons to tie the knot. In our latest post, we take a look at ways to keep warm on your wedding day.

Cold feet are not good at the best of times, but on your wedding day, it’s the not the kind of distraction you want. If you’re wearing a floor length dress, consider wearing closed-toe shoes and clear tights or even leg warmers if your dress will disguise them. Alternatively, pop socks may make your new shoes feel more comfortable – although they probably won’t do much for you in terms of warmth.

When it comes to jackets, there are countless styles for happy brides to choose from for their winter wedding. If you’re looking for a classic style, consider a pashmina that complements the colour of your dress. Alternatively, you could add a pop of colour as a nod to the season – oranges and reds work particularly well.

Other styles of classic coverups include sequin jackets or feather bolero’s that also add a touch of glamour and work particularly well around the festive season. Alternatively, if you would rather opt for a more tailored look, a blazer can look great and provide you with an extra layer to keep off the chill. If you’re looking for a bolder look, why not opt for a cropped denim blazer or a leather jacket?

Of course, the cold winter months can often come with rain. You may think that rain on your wedding day is a bad thing, but utilise some brightly coloured umbrellas and you could end up with some great photos.
